With the rapid development of clinical knowledge and the complexity of health care in various settings, we are committed to aligning with the recommendations of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing to enhance the educational competency of new nurses entering professional practice. When we first approached the accreditor, it was found that we could write a notice of significant change and be subject to accreditation under the accreditation of the baccalaureate program. However, because we believe that the accreditation of the master’s program over the bachelor’s level demonstrates our professional commitment to recognize our excellent educational preparation for our undergraduates, our director has chosen to accredit the new program at the master’s level. .
